How to Thicken SAUCES, Stews and Gravies with Meade Potato Starch
The Meade Farm Potato Starch helps to thicken a sauce or stew as it cooks. Whisk our potato starch in a little cold water to make a paste, then stir into the stew towards the end of the cooking process, once the liquid is hot, for best results.

​How to Thicken Soups, Sauces, Stews and Gravies
with Potato Flour

For thickening approx 500mls of sauce, mix 3-4 teaspoons of the Potato Starch with 3-4 tablespoons of cold liquid.

Bring the liquid to the boil.

Remove from the heat.

Stir in the Potato Starch paste.

Return to a gentle heat and stir as it thickens.

Take care not to over boil.
