Cherry/Piccolo Tomato Appetiser

You can't get much easier than this for a quick appetiser, one that celebrates the simple but amazing flavour of fresh produce!  While the word recipe might be a bit strong for the our 'instructions' below, we have included it because it is worth remembering that wholsome, delicious produce often carries all the flavour and bang on its own to make a tasty dish.  As they say, less can be more...

  • 2 punnets of Piccolo or cherry tomatoes

  • 2 tbsps of high quality olive oil

  • basil leaves, small

  • sea salt and pepper to taste


  • Simply cut the Piccolo or cherry tomatoes in half

  • Drizzle with olive oil

  • Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper.

  • Top each with a basil leave and serve on a plate as an appetiser, or in a bowl as a side dish.
