JOB VACANCY: COMMERCIAL TRADING ASSISTANT


The role of the Commercial Trading Assistant will be to prepare reports and provide accurate feedback to the team on sales, stock levels, purchase orders and provide administrative support to the Procurement and Sales team.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


  • Provide administrative support and assistance to the Procurement and Sales team

  • Work closely with the team to ensure a smooth and effective supply chain

  • To ensure stock levels are kept in line with business targets

  • Support the Procurement and Sales team in generating purchases/ sales orders on a daily basis

  • Review incoming orders and deliveries

  • Prepare/conduct sales analysis and market research

  • Coordinate and maintain freight contracts to ensure continuity of supply

  • Ensure stock counts are performed and reconciled

  • Ensure smooth and efficient operations at all times

  • All reports and tasks are to be completed to agreed timescales and deadlines

  • Ad-hoc duties as directed by Management

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s ordinary/honours degree in Business /or Agri Food Business /or a similar discipline.

  • Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail skills.

  • Strong financial skills and ability.

  • Strong level of competency and confidence in using IT systems, including the Microsoft Office programs and capacity to learn new programs quickly.

  • Experience in the FMCG sector would be desirable.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Excellent written & oral communications skills.

  • Fast Learner.
